For many years, following the death of Mao Zedong, China seemed to be moving politically, if not towards democracy, at least towards a more collegiate style of government. It’s reassuring to see that they have abandoned such decadent and bourgeois revisionism, and it brings recollections of the 1960s hit tune: Sailing the seas depends on the helmsman.
